Another weekend gone

This weekend was relatively low-key for the Reicherts. I played poker Friday night (and lost - nothing unusual!) and Saturday we went to run some errands as a family. Noah did really well and it was nice to spend some time all together outside of the house. Mike and I had an engagement party to attend Saturday night so Uncle Matt was gracious enough to watch Noah for us. Oh, and kudos to Matt for passing his CPA prep class - CPA exam...here he comes!! :-)

We had a very nice evening out as grown-ups! Sunday was relatively uneventful as well. Mike had a soccer game, which he won. Yay! And Noah was rather fussy (my guess is due to the crazy nap/feeding schedule from Saturday). Sunday evening we had our standing monthly dinner with friends, Kerrie and Kyle (who are expecting twin girls in Dec!) and Joe and Rachel, who have a beautiful 4 mo. daughter Ava. It was great catching up with them and sharing baby stories! Already we had a table of 8 (with the kiddos) and in a few short months, will turn into a table of 10! How quickly our dinners have expanded!!

Well, as I previously mentioned, Noah finished up his stint with his previous childcare provider last week so Mike and I are on duty this week, and my mom will also be up mid-week to spend some time with Noah. Yay! We are so blessed to have family nearby and those willing to travel to take care of Noah. Of course, with a face like this, it's not too difficult to get people here!
Here's Noah "wrestling" with his monkey!

Noah has just recently developed this thing where he kicks up his leg and flips part of himself over, while keeping his arms and belly towards the ground. Don't ask me...we have a weird kid! (But are you really surprised looking at his parents?!)

Noah has really been improving with his finger foods and sippy cup. He now is able to pick up his puffs and while he gets them to his mouth, he still doesn't quite understand he has to open his hand to let the food out. Every day is better than the last so I know he'll get there soon. He usually does a good job with his cup too, but there are days where he's not sure where the water comes out - as seen here!

I am really looking forward to a short work-week this week and even better, getting to spend some time with my hubby away at a resort on a lake over Labor Day!

Everyone have a great week and enjoy your long weekend!

Love,
Corri, Mike and Noah
