Easter Weekend

What a beautiful Easter we had!  It was filled with lots of goodies for Noah and visitors galore.  Noah was pretty thrilled to get a visit from the Easter Bunny.  He was expecially excited by his Yo Gabba Gabba video.

We took a family picture before church.

And Noah also got a picture with "Damma" Blick.
When we arrived home after services, Noah opened another Easter basket, this time from his Grandma and Grandpa Reichert.  He loved all of the goodies!  He even received some money to put in his bank.

The spoiling didn't end there, as "Pawpaw" Blick also had an Easter basket waiting for him.  Chocolate is our newfound nemesis.  He gets one bite of it, he wants to eat an entire basket full (like mother, like son).

Kisses for Pawpaw and the wonderful treats!
After breakfast that morning, we also decided to let Noah color eggs for the first time.  He did pretty well, but of course, wanted to keep going even after we were out of eggs.  Note to self for next year, we'll be sure to double the batch.

Look at all the pretty eggs Noah created!

After egg coloring, it was time for an egg hunt!  Noah has gotten exceptionally good at this since they do an egg hunt at school. The eggs all had goodies in them but he didn't seem to care.  He was more interested in watering the flowers after the eggs were found.  That's mama's little helper!

And even after all of this, the day wasn't even close to being over.  Noah however, was already beat from the events.  He took a little siesta in his swing (which he just can't get enough of.) while my parents finished up some work over at Dana's. Mike brought him inside for the remainder of his nap (because how comfortable can that be?) and I was even able to get a cat nap in.  What a nice Sunday afternoon!
It wasn't long however before he was up and raring to go again.  He received a ton of bubbles for Easter so he was anxious to try them out.  Damma helped him blow bubbles and do some drawing with chalk.
At one point, we were all tired of being outside.  It was hot and muggy and we wanted a break.  Noah didn't like that so much.  He wanted to stay outside and put on his sad face in hopes of pursuading us to come back.

It didn't work. But we laughed.

Good news for Noah, Uncle Matt and Aunt Emily came for dinner and they too brought treats for him.  He was very happy to see them and of course, loved the goodies.

We enjoyed a wonderful family dinner and Noah got plenty of time with aunts, his uncle, grandparents, and some cousins.  He had to say goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa as they were leaving Monday am.  I tell you, as soon as I picked him up Monday afternoon, the first words out of his mouth were, damma?  pawpaw?  Then he proceeded to ask about Dana, Sophie, Matt, Emmie?  He definitely has beautiful memories of his second Easter, as do we all.  Blessings and love to all.
