Update on The Boys

Gosh, I guess it's been a while since I've posted. So much has happened since. We spent a wonderful week in Alabama over Thanksgiving. The boys were able to spend time with their Great-grandmother which was a beautiful thing. We took the boys to see Christmas lights and visit Santa. They got to play with their Aunt Megan, Noah made cookies with Grandma, bowled for the first time got to go to the Children's museum.  It was a great trip!

Christmas time rolled around and we hosted the our families in Texas. The boys had a wonderful time with all of their grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Not shortly thereafter, it was time to get ready for Noah's 4th birthday. We celebrated by having his very first party with his friends from school. The party was at Pump It Up, these gigantic bounce slides, houses, etc. Noah has a wonderful time. His grandparents were also in town for the weekend so we got to celebrate with them as well.  Unfortunately our camera wasn't working but hopefully mom will get my copies we took with her camera. :-)

Its hard to believe my baby is four already! We took the boys to the doctor for their respective check-ups. Noah, at four year's old, weighs 37.2 lbs (50th-75th percentile), 39" tall (25-50th percentile).  Once he gets to 40 lbs, he can move to a small booster seat for the car.  I'm loving how they get easier and easier - more portable!

Ian, at his 15 mo. check up, weighed 26 lbs (75th percentile) and a height of 31" (25-50th percentile). He is doing really well and Ian is so smart! He's starting to use some words, like, "uh-oh, oh-no!, cracker, book, no-no, etc.  Although, when he's angry, he hits when he doesn't get his way. Not surprising since it's his only way of communicating. The teachers at school says he's a wonderful helper. If one of the babies drops a pacifier, he goes over to give it back to them. He loves to give kisses to the other kids and his family/teachers. He's doing really well on his feet. We see the changes in him daily (like his blond hair!  Maybe he'll take after Uncle Matt?!). He's certainly going to be our dare devil, and our serious child (also like Uncle Matt?!)

Noah is the clown. He loves to be silly and make people laugh. He still struggles with his frustrations. His favorite words are "No", "I don't want to" and "why do we always have to..." He's still so sweet - very loving and caring when he wants to be.  Can be overly-sensitive.  If we say something about his misbehaving, he immediately says "I'm bad," even though we never said that.  We try to tell him to "make good choices" as that's what it's really about, not being "good" or "bad."

He's doing amazing with his alphabet - we practice with the letters/boards that Grandma and Grandpa Reichert got him and he used to have trouble with every letter, now he's mastered all of them (although still has trouble with "d"s)  He's doing awesome!

It was such a beautiful day last Sunday that we decided to take the boys for a walk.  Noah enjoyed riding his new bike (for the first time!) and Ian always enjoys being pulled in the wagon.  We took them to a park where they could swing and use the slides.  We all had a wonderful afternoon together.

Hard to believe it's almost March. We're gearing up for spring. Although, it feels like we never had a winter. The temps have been in the 60s and 70s. I'm worried about a very hard summer!

I'll try to be better about writing but no promises! I've been busy with Frisco Women's League, yoga (my new passion) and of course, the kiddos. So, with that in mind, I promise I haven't abandoned ship, it just may take some time for me to get around to it. :-)
