St. Patty's Day 2012

Mike was brave enough Saturday to drive me and the boys to the St. Patty's Day parade that's held on Greenville Ave. every year.  Our friend, Dean, stays the night in a parking lot to reserve space (he said it had already filled up by 2am).  Yes, that is how crazy Dallas folks are to find a spot off the road, drink green beer, and wait for the floats to come along throwing beads into the crowd.

On the car ride there, Ian was ever so talkative, so I decided to capture a bit on video.  Enjoy. :-)
The drive was about 45 minutes and we left around 8:45am.  Which was a little late as we knew we would get parking anywhere near the street.  Mike was kind enough to drop me and Noah off while he brought Ian.

Here are a few pics as well...

 Noah made a new friend

Noah was having fun taking pictures and videos.  This is a self portrait he took.
Look at all the beads I collected!
Taking a break in the back of an SUV (while little bro sleeps)
Yes, there was loud music, semi horns honking, people screaming, and yet, we slept

The parade started at 11 and finished around 12:15.  I was actually pretty impressed we made it through the entire parade.  We all had a pretty good time, but we were definitely ready for a nap!  Getting out of the area was not so fun - a lot of dead ends (roads still blocked) but we eventually found our way home about an hour later.

That was pretty much the highlight of the weekend.
Love to all,
The Reicherts
